Tools Needed:

  • Hex wrenches (included)
  • Phillips screwdriver
  • Spanner
  • Pliers
  • Leveling card or paper

Step-by-Step Installation

  1. Unbox and Check Components: Carefully unpack all parts and verify all components are present using the parts checklist.
  2. Assemble Frame: Connect the vertical aluminum extrusions to the base frame using the provided screws and brackets.
  3. Install X-axis Gantry: Mount the X-axis gantry to the Z-axis rods and ensure smooth movement.
  4. Install Print Bed: Attach the heated bed to the Y-axis carriage and connect the heating cable.
  5. Install Extruder Assembly: Mount the extruder and hotend assembly to the X-axis gantry.
  6. Connect Electronics: Route and connect all cables to the main control board following the wiring diagram.
  7. Level the Bed: Perform manual bed leveling using the paper method to ensure proper first layer adhesion.
  8. Test Run: Perform initial calibration and test print to verify proper operation.
Warning: Ensure proper electrical grounding and keep the printer on a stable, level surface away from flammable materials.

Key Features

CR Touch Auto Leveling

Automatic bed leveling sensor that ensures perfect first layer adhesion by automatically compensating for bed unevenness across 16 measuring points.

Carborundum Glass Bed

High-temperature resistant glass bed with carborundum coating provides excellent adhesion while printing and easy removal after cooling.

Dual Z-axis Screws

Dual Z-axis lead screws with synchronized motors ensure stable and precise Z-axis movement, reducing layer shifting and improving print quality.

Silent Mainboard

Upgraded silent mainboard with TMC2225 stepper drivers reduces operational noise to below 50dB for quiet printing in any environment.

All-metal Extruder

Durable all-metal extruder provides consistent filament feeding and is compatible with a wide range of materials including PLA, ABS, PETG, and TPU.

Resume Print Function

Automatic power failure recovery allows the printer to resume printing from the last position after unexpected power outages.

Printing Technology Explained

FDM Technology

Fused Deposition Modeling melts and extrudes thermoplastic filament layer by layer to create 3D objects

Precision Steppers

High-precision stepper motors with 0.0125mm positioning accuracy for detailed prints

Thermal Protection

Multiple thermal runaway protection systems ensure safe operation during long prints

Filament Detection

Optional filament runout sensor pauses printing when filament runs out

Direct Drive Ready

Compatible with direct drive extruder upgrades for flexible filament printing

Community Firmware

Supports popular community firmware like Marlin and Klipper for advanced features

Troubleshooting

Problem Possible Cause Solution
Printer won't start Power issue, faulty power supply Check power cable connection, verify power switch is on
Poor first layer adhesion Bed not leveled, incorrect nozzle height Re-level bed, adjust Z-offset, clean bed surface
Filament not extruding Nozzle clogged, extruder gear slipping Clean nozzle, check extruder tension, increase temperature
Layer shifting Belt tension, mechanical obstruction Adjust belt tension, check for obstructions, tighten screws
Stringing/oozing Temperature too high, retraction settings Lower temperature, adjust retraction distance and speed
Warped prints Bed temperature, cooling, adhesion Increase bed temperature, use enclosure, apply adhesive

Error Codes

  • E1: Hotend temperature error - Check thermistor and heating cartridge
  • E2: Bed temperature error - Check bed thermistor and heater
  • E3: Thermal runaway - Check cooling and temperature sensors
  • E4: Power loss - Check power supply and connections
  • E5: Filament runout - Load new filament or disable sensor
  • E6: CR Touch error - Check probe wiring and function
