Installation Guide

Tools Needed:

  • Hex wrenches (included)
  • Spanner wrench
  • Screwdrivers (flat and Phillips)
  • Pliers
  • Leveling gauge

Step-by-Step Installation

  1. Unbox and Inventory: Carefully unbox all components and verify all parts are present using the included checklist.
  2. Frame Assembly: Assemble the aluminum extrusion frame according to the assembly diagram, ensuring all connections are tight.
  3. Install Z-axis: Mount the Z-axis lead screw and motor, ensuring smooth vertical movement without binding.
  4. Install X-axis: Attach the X-axis gantry with the extruder assembly, checking for proper alignment.
  5. Install Y-axis: Mount the heated bed onto the Y-axis carriage, ensuring it moves smoothly on the rails.
  6. Electrical Connections: Connect all motors, endstops, heated bed, and hotend following the wiring diagram.
  7. Level the Bed: Perform manual bed leveling using the paper method to ensure proper first layer adhesion.
  8. Test Run: Run the printer through calibration routines and test prints to verify proper operation.
Warning: Ensure proper electrical grounding and keep the printer on a stable, level surface away from flammable materials.

Key Features

MeanWell Power Supply

High-quality UL-certified power supply ensures stable voltage output and enhanced safety during long printing sessions.

Carborundum Glass Platform

Ultra-flat tempered glass build plate with special coating provides excellent adhesion and easy print removal when cooled.

Resume Print Function

Automatically saves print progress and can resume printing after power failure, preventing wasted time and materials.

Upgraded Extruder

All-metal extruder with improved feeding mechanism provides better filament grip and more consistent extrusion.

V-Slot Aluminum Profile

High-quality aluminum extrusion frame provides excellent stability and rigidity for precise printing results.

Magnetic Build Surface

Removable magnetic build plate allows for easy print removal and quick surface replacement when needed.

Printing Technology Explained

FDM Technology

Fused Deposition Modeling melts thermoplastic filament and deposits it layer by layer to create 3D objects.

Bowden Extruder

Separates the extruder motor from the hotend, reducing moving mass for faster and more precise printing.

Heated Bed

Prevents warping by keeping the first layers at optimal temperature for different filament types.

Auto-Leveling Ready

Compatible with BLTouch and other auto-bed leveling sensors for perfect first layers every time.

Silent Motherboard

TMC2208 stepper drivers provide near-silent operation compared to traditional A4988 drivers.

Filament Runout Sensor

Detects when filament runs out and pauses printing, allowing for filament change without losing progress.

Troubleshooting

Problem Possible Cause Solution
Printer won't start Power issue, mainboard failure Check power supply, ensure proper voltage setting, check mainboard connections
Poor print quality Unlevel bed, incorrect temperature, clogged nozzle Re-level bed, calibrate temperature settings, clean or replace nozzle
Filament not extruding Clogged nozzle, extruder gear slipping, incorrect temperature Clean nozzle, tighten extruder tension, increase hotend temperature
Layer shifting Loose belts, stepper motor issues, printing too fast Tighten belts, check motor connections, reduce print speed
Warped prints Bed not level, incorrect bed temperature, poor adhesion Re-level bed, increase bed temperature, use adhesion aids
Stringing/oozing Retraction settings incorrect, temperature too high Adjust retraction settings, lower printing temperature

Error Codes

  • E1: Hotend temperature error - Check thermistor and heating cartridge
  • E2: Bed temperature error - Check bed thermistor and heater
  • E3: Thermal runaway protection - Check all thermal components
  • E4: Power supply error - Check voltage and connections
  • E5: Filament runout - Replace or insert filament
  • E6: Overheating - Check cooling fans and ventilation
