Installation Guide

Tools Needed:

  • Hex wrenches (included)
  • Spanner wrench
  • Screwdrivers (flat and Phillips)
  • Pliers
  • Leveling card

Step-by-Step Installation

  1. Unbox and Inspect: Carefully remove all components from packaging and verify all parts are included according to the parts list.
  2. Frame Assembly: Assemble the aluminum extrusion frame according to the provided diagram, ensuring all connections are tight.
  3. Install Gantry System: Mount the X-axis gantry onto the vertical frames, ensuring smooth movement without binding.
  4. Install Print Bed: Mount the heated bed onto the Y-axis carriage, ensuring it is securely fastened and level.
  5. Install Extruder Assembly: Mount the Sprite Direct Drive extruder onto the X-axis gantry, connecting all necessary cables.
  6. Cable Management: Route all cables through the cable chains and connect to the main control board.
  7. Initial Calibration: Perform bed leveling, Z-offset calibration, and test extrusion before first print.
Warning: Ensure the printer is placed on a stable, level surface away from flammable materials. Keep children and pets away during operation.

Key Features

Sprite Direct Drive Extruder

All-metal direct drive extruder with dual-gear feeding system provides precise filament control, enabling printing with flexible materials and reducing stringing.

CR Touch Auto Leveling

Automatic bed leveling sensor with 16-point mesh calibration ensures perfect first layer adhesion across the entire build plate.

All-Metal Hotend

Capable of reaching 300°C, allowing printing with engineering materials like ABS, PETG, TPU, and specialty filaments.

Dual Z-axis Screws

Dual lead screws with synchronous belt drive ensure stable Z-axis movement and prevent gantry sagging for consistent layer quality.

PEI Spring Steel Plate

Magnetic removable build plate with PEI coating provides excellent adhesion when hot and easy print removal when cool.

Silent Motherboard

TMC2225 stepper drivers provide near-silent operation while maintaining precise motor control and smooth movement.

Printing Materials Compatibility

PLA

Easy to print, low warping, ideal for beginners and general prototyping

ABS

Durable, heat-resistant material requiring enclosed printing environment

PETG

Strong, flexible material with good layer adhesion and chemical resistance

TPU

Flexible filament for rubber-like parts, requires direct drive extruder

Wood PLA

Composite material with wood fibers for realistic wood-like finishes

Carbon Fiber

Reinforced filament for extra strength and stiffness, requires hardened nozzle

Troubleshooting

Problem Possible Cause Solution
Printer won't start Power issue, loose connections Check power supply, ensure all cables are securely connected
Poor bed adhesion Unlevel bed, incorrect Z-offset, dirty build plate Re-level bed, adjust Z-offset, clean build plate with isopropyl alcohol
Extrusion issues Clogged nozzle, incorrect temperature, extruder tension Perform cold pull, adjust temperature settings, check extruder gear tension
Layer shifting Loose belts, mechanical obstruction, overheating drivers Tighten belts, check for obstructions, ensure proper cooling
Stringing/oozing High temperature, insufficient retraction Lower nozzle temperature, increase retraction distance and speed
Warping Poor bed adhesion, temperature fluctuations, draft Use enclosure, increase bed temperature, use brim or raft

Error Codes

  • E1: Hotend temperature error - Check thermistor and heating cartridge
  • E2: Bed temperature error - Check bed thermistor and heater
  • E3: Thermal runaway protection - Check cooling and temperature sensors
  • E4: Power supply error - Check voltage and connections
  • E5: Stepper motor error - Check motor connections and drivers
  • E6: Filament runout sensor error - Check sensor connection and filament detection
