Installation Guide
Tools Needed:
- Hex keys (included)
- Screwdrivers (flat and Phillips)
- Pliers
- Leveling card or paper
- Wire cutters
Step-by-Step Installation
- Unpack and Inventory: Carefully unpack all components and verify all parts are present using the included checklist.
- Assemble Frame: Connect the vertical aluminum extrusions to the base frame using the provided screws and brackets.
- Install X-Axis: Mount the X-axis gantry to the vertical extrusions, ensuring it moves smoothly without binding.
- Install Print Bed: Attach the heated bed to the Y-axis carriage, ensuring it's securely fastened.
- Install Extruder: Mount the extruder assembly to the X-axis gantry and connect the Bowden tube.
- Electrical Connections: Connect all motors, endstops, and the heated bed to the main control board.
- Level the Bed: Use the manual leveling knobs to level the print bed using the paper method.
- Test Run: Perform a test print to verify proper operation and calibration.

Key Features
Resume Printing Function
Automatically saves print progress. In case of power failure, printing can resume from the last layer without starting over.
Precision V-Slot Wheels
High-precision V-slot aluminum extrusion and POM wheels ensure smooth and stable movement on all axes.
MK10 Extruder
All-metal MK10 extruder provides reliable filament feeding with minimal clogging and consistent extrusion.
Carborundum Glass Platform
Ultra-flat carborundum glass bed provides excellent adhesion while printing and easy removal when cooled.
MeanWell Power Supply
High-quality MeanWell power supply ensures stable voltage output and safe operation.
Upgradable Design
Open-source design allows for extensive modifications and upgrades including auto-bed leveling and silent drivers.
Printing Technology Explained
FDM Technology
Fused Deposition Modeling melts and extrudes thermoplastic filament layer by layer to build objects.
Heated Bed
Prevents warping by keeping the first layers at optimal temperature for adhesion.
Bowden Extruder
Lightweight design reduces moving mass on X-axis for faster printing speeds.
Manual Leveling
Four-point manual bed leveling system allows for precise calibration of print surface.
Thermal Runaway Protection
Safety feature that monitors temperature and shuts down if abnormal readings are detected.
SD Card Printing
Standalone operation via SD card without need for continuous computer connection.
Troubleshooting
| Problem | Possible Cause | Solution |
|---|---|---|
| Printer won't start | Power issue, fuse blown, loose connection | Check power supply, replace fuse, check all connections |
| Poor layer adhesion | Low temperature, printing too fast, cooling too early | Increase nozzle/bed temperature, reduce print speed, adjust cooling |
| Filament not extruding | Nozzle clogged, extruder gear slipping, low temperature | Clean nozzle, tighten extruder gear, increase temperature |
| Warped prints | Bed not level, bed temperature too low, draft | Re-level bed, increase bed temperature, eliminate drafts |
| Layer shifting | Belt tension, mechanical obstruction, overheating drivers | Adjust belt tension, check for obstructions, improve cooling |
| Stringing/oozing | Retraction settings, temperature too high, travel speed | Adjust retraction settings, lower temperature, increase travel speed |
Common Issues
- Bed Leveling Issues: Re-level bed using paper method - adjust until slight resistance is felt
- Extruder Clicking: Check for nozzle clog, increase temperature, check filament path
- First Layer Problems: Adjust Z-offset, clean bed surface, use adhesion aids
- Overheating: Ensure proper ventilation, check fan operation, reduce ambient temperature
- SD Card Errors: Format card to FAT32, use quality SD card, check card slot
- Motor Skipping: Adjust current potentiometers, check for mechanical binding
