Printing Technology Explained

FDM Technology

Fused Deposition Modeling melts thermoplastic filament and deposits it layer by layer to create 3D objects.

Bowden Extruder

Lightweight extruder design reduces moving mass on the X-axis for faster and more precise printing.

PID Temperature Control

Precise temperature regulation for both hotend and heated bed ensures consistent melting and adhesion.

Manual Bed Leveling

Four-point manual leveling system with upgraded springs for stable and reliable bed leveling.

Filament Runout Sensor

Optional sensor detects when filament runs out and pauses the print, allowing for filament change.

Upgrade Compatibility

Designed with upgradeability in mind, compatible with BLTouch, direct drive, and other popular modifications.

Troubleshooting

Problem Possible Cause Solution
Printer won't power on Power switch, cable connection, fuse issue Check power switch, ensure cable is properly connected, check fuse
Poor first layer adhesion Bed not level, wrong bed temperature, dirty bed surface Re-level bed, increase bed temperature, clean with isopropyl alcohol
Filament not extruding Nozzle clogged, extruder gear slipping, wrong temperature Clean nozzle, tighten extruder spring, increase hotend temperature
Layer shifting Belt tension, mechanical obstruction, overheating drivers Adjust belt tension, check for obstructions, improve cooling
Stringing/oozing Retraction settings, temperature too high, travel speed Adjust retraction settings, lower temperature, increase travel speed
Warping corners Bed temperature, cooling, adhesion issues Increase bed temperature, use brim/raft, apply adhesion aids

Common Error Messages

  • Thermal Runaway: Temperature sensor issue - Check thermistor connections
  • Heating Failed: Heater cartridge issue - Check heater connections and resistance
  • Max Temp Error: Temperature exceeds limit - Check for short circuits
  • Min Temp Error: Temperature below minimum - Check thermistor
  • Filament Runout: No filament detected - Load filament or disable sensor
  • Print Halted: Emergency stop triggered - Check for obstructions
