Installation Guide

Tools Needed:

  • Hex wrenches (included)
  • Phillips screwdriver
  • Spanner
  • Leveling card (included)
  • Pliers

Step-by-Step Installation

  1. Unbox and Check Components: Carefully remove all components from packaging and verify all parts are included according to the parts list.
  2. Assemble Frame: Connect the vertical aluminum extrusions to the base frame using provided screws and hex wrenches.
  3. Install X-axis Gantry: Mount the X-axis gantry with the extruder assembly to the vertical frames, ensuring smooth movement.
  4. Connect Electronics: Route and connect all cables to the mainboard following the labeled connectors. Ensure all connections are secure.
  5. Install Print Bed: Place the magnetic PEI build plate on the heated bed and secure it properly.
  6. Level the Bed: Use the CR-Touch auto-leveling system to automatically calibrate the print bed. Perform manual fine-tuning if necessary.
  7. Test Run: Power on the printer, load filament, and run a test print to verify proper operation.
Warning: Ensure proper ventilation when printing with certain materials. Keep the printer on a stable, level surface away from flammable materials.

Key Features

CR-Touch Auto Leveling

Automatic bed leveling system with high-precision probe ensures perfect first layer adhesion without manual calibration.

Sprite Direct Extruder

All-metal direct drive extruder provides precise filament control, enabling flexible filament printing and reducing clogging.

Dual Z-axis Lead Screws

Dual Z-axis motors with lead screws ensure stable and precise vertical movement, improving print quality and consistency.

PEI Magnetic Build Plate

Spring steel PEI-coated magnetic build plate provides excellent adhesion when hot and easy print removal when cool.

Silent Mainboard

TMC2209 stepper drivers provide ultra-quiet operation while maintaining precise motor control and smooth movement.

High-Speed Printing

Optimized motion system allows printing speeds up to 250mm/s with acceleration up to 2500mm/s² for faster print times.

Printing Technology Explained

FDM Technology

Fused Deposition Modeling melts and extrudes thermoplastic filament layer by layer to create 3D objects.

Direct Drive Extrusion

Extruder mounted directly on the print head reduces retraction distance and improves flexible filament handling.

Auto Bed Leveling

Probe measures multiple points on the bed surface and compensates for any unevenness automatically.

Filament Runout Sensor

Detects when filament runs out and pauses printing, allowing for filament change without print failure.

Resume Print Function

Automatically saves print progress during power loss, allowing printing to resume from the last layer.

Quick Release Nozzle

Easy-to-replace nozzle design allows for quick maintenance and nozzle size changes.

Troubleshooting

Problem Possible Cause Solution
Printer won't power on Power switch off, loose cable, faulty power supply Check power switch, ensure all cables are connected securely
Poor first layer adhesion Bed not level, incorrect nozzle height, dirty build plate Re-level bed, adjust Z-offset, clean build plate with isopropyl alcohol
Filament not extruding Nozzle clogged, extruder gear slipping, filament tangled Clean or replace nozzle, check extruder tension, ensure filament spool rotates freely
Layer shifting Belt tension too loose, mechanical obstruction, overheating drivers Tighten belts, check for obstructions, ensure proper cooling
Stringing/oozing Retraction settings incorrect, printing temperature too high Adjust retraction distance and speed, lower printing temperature
Warping/corner lifting Bed temperature too low, insufficient bed adhesion, drafts Increase bed temperature, use adhesion aids, eliminate drafts

Error Codes

  • E1: Hotend temperature error - Check thermistor and heating cartridge
  • E2: Bed temperature error - Check bed thermistor and heater
  • E3: Thermal runaway - Check cooling and temperature sensors
  • E4: Filament runout - Load new filament and resume
  • E5: CR-Touch error - Check probe connection and function
  • E6: Motor stall - Check for mechanical obstructions
