Installation Guide

Tools Needed:

  • Hex wrenches (included)
  • Spanner (included)
  • Screwdrivers (flat and Phillips)
  • Pliers
  • Leveling card (included)

Step-by-Step Installation

  1. Unpack and Inspect: Carefully remove all components from packaging and verify all parts are included and undamaged.
  2. Assemble Frame: Connect the vertical aluminum extrusions to the base frame using the provided screws and hex wrenches.
  3. Install X-axis Gantry: Mount the X-axis gantry onto the vertical extrusions, ensuring smooth movement.
  4. Install Print Head: Attach the Sprite Direct Drive Extruder to the X-axis carriage.
  5. Connect Electronics: Route and connect all cables to the mainboard following the color-coded connectors.
  6. Install Build Plate: Place the magnetic PEI build plate onto the heated bed.
  7. Level the Bed: Use the CR-Touch auto-leveling system to calibrate the print bed.
  8. Test Run: Perform a test print to verify proper assembly and calibration.
Warning: Ensure proper electrical grounding and keep the printer on a stable, level surface away from flammable materials.

Key Features

Sprite Direct Drive Extruder

Integrated direct drive extruder with dual-gear feeding system provides precise filament control, enabling reliable printing with flexible materials and reducing stringing.

CR-Touch Auto Leveling

Automatic bed leveling system with high-precision sensor ensures perfect first layer adhesion across the entire build plate without manual adjustment.

Dual Z-axis Lead Screws

Synchronized dual Z-axis motors with lead screws provide exceptional stability and precision, eliminating gantry sag and ensuring consistent layer quality.

PEI Magnetic Build Plate

Spring steel PEI-coated magnetic build plate offers excellent adhesion when hot and easy removal when cool, with flexible surface for effortless print removal.

High-speed Printing

Optimized motion system and firmware allow printing speeds up to 250mm/s with acceleration up to 2000mm/s², significantly reducing print times.

Silent Motherboard

32-bit silent mainboard with TMC2225 stepper drivers reduces operational noise to below 50dB while providing smooth, precise motor control.

Printing Technology Explained

FDM Technology

Fused Deposition Modeling melts and extrudes thermoplastic filament layer by layer to create 3D objects

Direct Drive

Extruder mounted directly on print head reduces retraction distance and enables flexible filament printing

Auto Bed Leveling

Probe measures multiple points on bed surface and compensates for unevenness automatically

Resume Print Function

Automatically saves print progress and resumes printing after power interruption

Filament Runout Sensor

Detects when filament runs out and pauses printing for reloading

Power Loss Recovery

Continues printing from last position after unexpected power failure

Troubleshooting

Problem Possible Cause Solution
Printer won't start Power issue, main switch off, faulty cable Check power supply, ensure main switch is on, inspect power cable
Poor first layer adhesion Bed not level, nozzle too high, dirty build plate Re-level bed, adjust Z-offset, clean build plate with isopropyl alcohol
Filament not extruding Nozzle clogged, extruder gear slipping, filament tangled Clean nozzle, check extruder tension, ensure filament spool rotates freely
Layer shifting Belt tension incorrect, mechanical obstruction, overheating drivers Adjust belt tension, check for obstructions, ensure proper cooling
Stringing/oozing Retraction settings incorrect, temperature too high Adjust retraction distance and speed, lower printing temperature
Warping Bed temperature too low, cooling too fast, draft in room Increase bed temperature, use enclosure or draft shield

Error Codes

  • E1: Hotend temperature error - Check thermistor and heating cartridge
  • E2: Bed temperature error - Check bed thermistor and heater
  • E3: Thermal runaway - Check cooling fans and temperature sensors
  • E4: Filament runout - Reload filament and resume print
  • E5: CR-Touch error - Check probe connection and function
  • E6: Motor stall - Check for mechanical obstructions
