Installation Guide

Tools Needed:

  • Hex wrenches (included)
  • Spanner
  • Screwdrivers (flat and Phillips)
  • Pliers
  • Leveling card or paper

Step-by-Step Installation

  1. Unbox and Check Components: Carefully unbox all components and verify all parts are present using the parts list.
  2. Assemble Frame: Connect the vertical aluminum extrusions to the base frame using the provided screws and brackets.
  3. Install Z-axis: Attach the Z-axis lead screws and stepper motors to the vertical frame.
  4. Mount X-axis: Install the X-axis gantry with the extruder assembly onto the Z-axis.
  5. Connect Electronics: Route and connect all cables to the main control board following the wiring diagram.
  6. Install Build Plate: Attach the heated bed to the Y-axis carriage and secure with clips.
  7. Level the Bed: Use the manual leveling knobs to level the build plate at all four corners.
  8. Test Run: Power on the printer and run initial calibration tests to ensure proper operation.
Warning: Ensure proper electrical grounding and keep the printer on a stable, level surface. First-time setup should be performed carefully following all instructions.

Key Features

Meanwell Power Supply

High-quality UL-certified power supply ensures stable voltage output and enhanced safety during long printing sessions.

Carborundum Glass Platform

Ultra-flat tempered glass build plate with special coating provides excellent adhesion and easy print removal.

Resume Print Function

Automatically saves print progress in case of power failure, allowing prints to resume from the last layer when power is restored.

Upgraded Extruder

All-metal extruder with improved feeding mechanism provides better filament grip and reduces clogging issues.

V-Slot Wheels

Precision V-slot aluminum wheels ensure smooth and stable movement on all axes with minimal maintenance required.

Quiet Operation

Silent mainboard with TMC2208 stepper drivers significantly reduces printing noise for more comfortable operation.

Printing Technology Explained

FDM Technology

Fused Deposition Modeling melts and extrudes thermoplastic filament layer by layer to create 3D objects.

Precision Steppers

1.8° stepper motors with micro-stepping drivers provide precise movement control down to 0.0125mm.

Thermal Protection

Multiple thermal sensors and protection circuits prevent overheating of hotend and heated bed.

Filament Detection

Optional filament runout sensor pauses printing when filament runs out to prevent failed prints.

Auto Bed Leveling

Compatible with BLTouch auto bed leveling sensor for perfect first layers every time.

Community Firmware

Open-source firmware allows for custom modifications and community-developed enhancements.

Troubleshooting

Problem Possible Cause Solution
Printer won't power on Power switch off, loose cable, faulty power supply Check power switch, ensure cables are secure, test outlet
Filament not extruding Nozzle clogged, extruder gear slipping, wrong temperature Clean nozzle, tighten extruder tension, check temperature settings
Poor bed adhesion Unlevel bed, dirty build surface, wrong bed temperature Relevel bed, clean with alcohol, adjust bed temperature
Layer shifting Loose belts, stepper current too low, mechanical obstruction Tighten belts, adjust stepper current, check for obstructions
Stringing/oozing Retraction settings wrong, temperature too high Adjust retraction distance and speed, lower nozzle temperature
Warped prints Poor bed adhesion, cooling too fast, draft in room Use adhesion aids, enable draft shield, control ambient temperature

Common Error Messages

  • Err: MAXTEMP: Thermal runaway detected - Check thermistor connections
  • Err: MINTEMP: Temperature too low - Check thermistor and heating cartridge
  • Err: Heating Failed: Heater not reaching temperature - Check heating element
  • Err: Homing Failed: Endstop not triggered - Check endstop switches and wiring
  • Err: Kill: Printer halted - Check for thermal issues or emergency stop
  • Err: SD Card: SD card error - Reformat card or try different card
