Installation Guide

Tools Needed:

  • Hex wrenches (included)
  • Phillips screwdriver
  • Spanner
  • Leveling card or paper
  • Pliers

Step-by-Step Assembly

  1. Unpack and Check Components: Verify all parts are present using the packing list. Handle components carefully.
  2. Assemble Frame: Connect the aluminum extrusion frame using the provided screws and brackets.
  3. Install Z-axis: Mount the lead screws and stepper motors to the vertical frame members.
  4. Mount Print Bed: Attach the heated bed to the Y-axis carriage, ensuring it moves smoothly.
  5. Install X-axis: Mount the extruder assembly and hotend to the X-axis gantry.
  6. Connect Electronics: Route and connect all cables to the control board following the wiring diagram.
  7. Level the Bed: Use the manual leveling knobs to adjust the bed height at all four corners.
  8. Initial Calibration: Run the auto-leveling procedure and perform first layer calibration.
Warning: Ensure proper electrical grounding and keep the printer on a stable, level surface. First-time setup should be supervised by experienced users.

Key Features

Cube Frame Design

The unique cube-shaped frame provides exceptional stability and rigidity, reducing vibrations during high-speed printing and improving print quality.

Meanwell Power Supply

High-quality UL-certified power supply ensures stable voltage output and improved safety during long printing sessions.

Capricorn PTFE Tube

Premium Capricorn tubing reduces friction and heat creep, allowing for smoother filament flow and higher temperature printing capability.

Magnetic Build Surface

Removable magnetic build plate makes print removal easy and provides excellent adhesion for various filament types.

Silent Motherboard

TMC2208 stepper drivers provide near-silent operation while maintaining precise motor control and reducing electrical noise.

Dual Z-axis Screws

Dual lead screws with independent motors ensure perfect X-axis alignment and consistent layer height throughout prints.

Printing Technology Explained

FDM Technology

Fused Deposition Modeling melts thermoplastic filament and deposits it layer by layer to create 3D objects.

Bowden Extruder

Remote extruder design reduces moving mass on the X-axis, enabling faster printing speeds with less vibration.

Auto Resume

Power failure recovery feature allows prints to resume from the last layer after unexpected power interruptions.

Filament Detection

Optional filament runout sensor pauses printing when filament is exhausted, preventing failed prints.

Thermal Protection

Multiple thermal runaway protection systems monitor hotend and bed temperatures for safe operation.

Upgrade Compatibility

Designed with upgradeability in mind, supporting BLTouch, direct drive conversion, and other popular modifications.

Troubleshooting

Problem Possible Cause Solution
Printer won't power on Power switch off, loose cable, faulty power supply Check power switch, ensure all cables are secure, test outlet with another device
Poor first layer adhesion Bed not leveled, nozzle too high, dirty build surface Re-level bed, adjust Z-offset, clean build surface with isopropyl alcohol
Extruder clicking Nozzle clog, extruder tension too high, printing too cold Clean nozzle, adjust extruder spring tension, increase hotend temperature
Layer shifting Belt tension, loose pulleys, printing too fast Tighten belts, check set screws on pulleys, reduce print speed
Stringing/oozing Retraction settings, printing temperature too high Increase retraction distance/speed, lower printing temperature
Warped prints Bed temperature, cooling, draft in room Increase bed temperature, use enclosure, reduce cooling fan speed for first layers

Common Error Messages

  • THERMAL RUNAWAY: Temperature fluctuation detected - Check thermistor connections
  • HEATING FAILED: Hotend not reaching target temperature - Check heater cartridge
  • HOMING ERROR: Endstop not triggered - Check endstop switches and wiring
  • MAXTEMP ERROR: Temperature reading too high - Check thermistor for short circuit
  • MINTEMP ERROR: Temperature reading too low - Check thermistor connections
  • FILAMENT RUNOUT: Filament sensor triggered - Load new filament and resume
