Installation Guide

Tools Needed:

  • Hex wrenches (included)
  • Screwdrivers (flat and Phillips)
  • Pliers
  • Leveling card or feeler gauge
  • Allen keys (provided)

Step-by-Step Installation

  1. Unbox and Inspect: Carefully remove all components from packaging and verify all parts are present using the parts checklist.
  2. Frame Assembly: Assemble the aluminum extrusion frame according to the provided diagram, ensuring all connections are tight.
  3. Install Print Bed: Mount the heated bed to the Y-axis carriage, ensuring it moves smoothly along the rails.
  4. Install X and Z Axes: Mount the X-axis gantry and Z-axis lead screws, ensuring proper alignment and smooth movement.
  5. Electronics Installation: Mount the control board and power supply in the designated locations, connecting all cables according to the wiring diagram.
  6. Extruder and Hotend: Install the extruder assembly and hotend, ensuring all connections are secure and thermistor is properly seated.
  7. Initial Calibration: Level the print bed, set Z-offset, and perform initial calibration tests.
Warning: Ensure proper electrical connections and grounding. Keep printer away from flammable materials and monitor first prints.

Key Features

Cube Frame Design

The unique cube-shaped frame provides excellent stability and rigidity, reducing vibrations during printing and improving print quality.

Independent Z-Axis

Dual Z-axis lead screws with independent motors ensure perfect leveling and consistent layer height throughout large prints.

Magnetic Build Surface

Removable magnetic build plate allows for easy print removal and quick surface changes for different materials.

Silent Mainboard

Equipped with silent stepper drivers (TMC2208) for quiet operation, making it suitable for home or office environments.

Resume Print Function

Automatically resumes printing from the last position after power failure, preventing wasted time and materials.

Upgradable Design

Modular design allows for easy upgrades including direct drive extruder, BLTouch auto-leveling, and silent fans.

Printing Technology Explained

FDM Technology

Fused Deposition Modeling melts thermoplastic filament and deposits it layer by layer to create objects

Precision Steppers

High-precision stepper motors with 0.0125mm resolution ensure accurate movement and detailed prints

PID Temperature Control

Proportional-Integral-Derivative control maintains consistent nozzle and bed temperatures

Bowden Extruder

Lightweight extruder design reduces moving mass for faster printing speeds and reduced ghosting

Thermal Runaway Protection

Safety feature that automatically shuts down heating if temperature exceeds expected range

Filament Detection

Optional sensor detects filament runout and pauses print for reloading

Troubleshooting

Problem Possible Cause Solution
Printer won't start Power issue, mainboard fault Check power supply, ensure all connections are secure
Poor bed adhesion Unlevel bed, wrong bed temperature, dirty surface Re-level bed, increase temperature, clean with isopropyl alcohol
Extruder clicking Clogged nozzle, extruder tension too tight Clean or replace nozzle, adjust extruder spring tension
Layer shifting Loose belts, stepper current too low Tighten belts, check stepper driver current settings
Stringing/oozing Temperature too high, retraction settings wrong Lower temperature, increase retraction distance/speed
Under-extrusion Clogged nozzle, extruder skipping, low temperature Clean nozzle, check extruder gear, increase temperature

Common Issues and Solutions

  • Warped Prints: Increase bed temperature, use enclosure, apply adhesive
  • Ghosting/Ringing: Reduce print speed, tighten belts, check frame stability
  • First Layer Issues: Re-level bed, adjust Z-offset, clean build surface
  • Thermal Runaway Error: Check thermistor connections, replace if damaged
  • SD Card Not Reading: Format card to FAT32, ensure proper insertion
  • Motor Not Moving: Check wiring connections, stepper driver settings
