Installation Guide
Tools Needed:
- 0.2mm feeler gauge or standard paper
- Hex wrench set (included with printer)
- SD card or USB drive
- Computer with slicer software
- Level surface
Step-by-Step Bed Leveling Process
- Prepare Your Printer: Heat bed to 60°C and nozzle to 200°C to account for thermal expansion.
- Home All Axes: Use the "Auto Home" function from your printer's control panel.
- Disable Steppers: Disable stepper motors to allow free movement of the print head.
- Load Leveling Gcode: Insert SD card with bed leveling gcode file or transfer via USB.
- Run Leveling Sequence: Execute the bed leveling gcode which moves nozzle to 5 key points.
- Adjust Bed Screws: At each point, adjust the bed leveling knobs until you feel slight resistance on the paper.
- Repeat Process: Run the leveling sequence 2-3 times to ensure consistent leveling across all points.
- Test Print: Print a bed leveling test pattern to verify perfect first layer adhesion.

Key Features
5-Point Leveling System
Precisely levels the bed at four corners and center point, ensuring perfect first layer adhesion across the entire print surface.
Manual Mesh Bed Leveling
Creates a virtual mesh of your bed's surface, compensating for minor warping and inconsistencies in the build plate.
Heated Bed Compensation
Accounts for thermal expansion when bed is heated, providing accurate leveling at actual printing temperatures.
Z-Offset Calibration
Includes precise Z-offset adjustments to fine-tune the nozzle distance from the bed for optimal first layer squish.
Multiple Material Support
Works with PLA, ABS, PETG, TPU, and other common filaments with appropriate temperature settings.
Visual Feedback Points
Clearly marked leveling points with LED illumination (Ender 3 V2) for easy visibility during the leveling process.
Leveling Point Locations Explained
Front Left Corner
X: 35mm, Y: 35mm - First calibration point for establishing initial height reference
Front Right Corner
X: 200mm, Y: 35mm - Second point for establishing front plane level
Center Point
X: 117.5mm, Y: 117.5mm - Most critical point for center adhesion
Rear Left Corner
X: 35mm, Y: 200mm - Third point for diagonal verification
Rear Right Corner
X: 200mm, Y: 200mm - Final point for complete bed plane calibration
Additional Test Points
Optional 9-point leveling available for ultra-precise calibration
Troubleshooting
| Problem | Possible Cause | Solution |
|---|---|---|
| Nozzle too close to bed | Over-tightened leveling knobs, incorrect Z-offset | Loosen leveling knobs, increase Z-offset by 0.05mm increments |
| Nozzle too far from bed | Under-tightened knobs, worn bed surface | Tighten leveling knobs, decrease Z-offset, check bed surface |
| Uneven first layer | Warped bed, inconsistent leveling points | Use glass bed, re-level all points, consider manual mesh |
| Filament not sticking | Dirty bed, incorrect temperature, poor leveling | Clean with isopropyl alcohol, adjust temps, re-level bed |
| Corner lifting | Bed temperature too low, draft exposure | Increase bed temp, use enclosure, add brim to print |
| Consistent under-extrusion | Clogged nozzle, incorrect e-steps, low temperature | Clean nozzle, calibrate e-steps, increase nozzle temp |
Common Error Messages
- Err: MAXTEMP BED: Bed thermistor issue - Check wiring and connections
- Err: MINTEMP BED: Bed temperature sensor failure - Replace thermistor
- Homing failed: Endstop switch issue - Check limit switch wiring
- Thermal Runaway: Heating failure - Check heater cartridge and thermistor
- No SD card: Storage media not detected - Reinsert SD card, format if necessary
- Print halted: Power loss or emergency stop - Check power supply and connections
