Key Features

Resume Printing Function

Automatically saves print progress. If printing is interrupted by power failure, the printer can resume from the last layer once power is restored.

Precision V-Slot Wheels

High-precision V-slot wheels provide smooth and stable movement on all axes, ensuring accurate prints with minimal vibration.

MK8 Extruder

The MK8 extruder provides consistent filament feeding with minimal clogging, supporting a wide range of filament materials including PLA, ABS, PETG, and TPU.

Carborundum Glass Bed

Ultra-flat carborundum glass build plate provides excellent adhesion during printing and easy removal once cooled, ensuring perfect first layers.

Meanwell Power Supply

High-quality Meanwell power supply ensures stable voltage output and improved safety during long printing sessions.

Upgradable Design

Open-source design allows for extensive modifications and upgrades including BLTouch auto-leveling, silent stepper drivers, and direct drive conversions.

Printing Technology Explained

FDM Technology

Fused Deposition Modeling melts and extrudes thermoplastic filament layer by layer to create 3D objects

Bowden Extruder

Lightweight print head design reduces moving mass for faster printing speeds and reduced ghosting

Heated Bed

Prevents warping and improves adhesion for materials like ABS and PETG that require higher bed temperatures

Manual Leveling

Four-point manual bed leveling system with spring-loaded adjustment knobs for precise calibration

Filament Runout Sensor

Detects when filament runs out and pauses printing, allowing for filament change without losing progress

SD Card Printing

Standalone operation via SD card, allowing printing without continuous computer connection

Troubleshooting

Problem Possible Cause Solution
Printer won't power on Power switch off, loose cable, faulty power supply Check power switch, ensure all cables are connected securely, test outlet
Poor first layer adhesion Bed not level, nozzle too high, bed not clean Re-level bed, adjust Z-offset, clean bed with isopropyl alcohol
Filament not extruding Nozzle clogged, extruder gear slipping, filament tangled Clean nozzle, tighten extruder tension, check filament path
Layer shifting Belt tension too loose, mechanical obstruction, overheating drivers Tighten belts, check for obstructions, ensure proper cooling
Stringing/oozing Retraction settings incorrect, temperature too high Adjust retraction distance and speed, lower nozzle temperature
Warped prints Bed temperature too low, cooling too fast, draft in room Increase bed temperature, use enclosure, reduce cooling fan speed

Common Error Messages

  • Thermal Runaway: Temperature sensor issue - Check thermistor connections
  • Heating Failed: Heater cartridge issue - Check heater connections and resistance
  • Filament Runout: Filament sensor triggered - Load new filament or bypass sensor
  • Max Temp Error: Temperature exceeded safety limit - Check cooling and thermal settings
  • Homing Failed: Endstop not triggered - Check endstop switches and wiring
  • SD Card Error: Card not readable - Format SD card or try different card
