  • Allen keys (included)
  • Screwdrivers (flat and Phillips)
  • Pliers
  • Leveling gauge (included)

Step-by-Step Assembly

  1. Unpack and Check Components: Unpack all parts and verify all components are present using the parts checklist.
  2. Assemble Frame: Connect the vertical aluminum extrusions to the base frame using the provided screws and brackets.
  3. Install Z-axis: Mount the Z-axis lead screw and motor to the vertical frame, ensuring smooth movement.
  4. Install X-axis Gantry: Attach the X-axis gantry with the extruder assembly to the vertical frame.
  5. Install Print Bed: Mount the heated bed to the Y-axis carriage and secure with springs and adjustment knobs.
  6. Connect Electronics: Route and connect all cables to the main control board following the wiring diagram.
  7. Level the Bed: Use the paper method to level all four corners of the print bed for proper first layer adhesion.
  8. Test Run: Perform a test print to verify proper assembly and calibration.
Warning: Ensure all electrical connections are secure before powering on. Keep hands away from moving parts during operation.

Troubleshooting

Problem Possible Cause Solution
Printer won't start Power issue, mainboard fault Check power supply, ensure all connections are secure
Poor bed adhesion Unlevel bed, dirty surface, wrong temperature Relevel bed, clean with isopropyl alcohol, adjust bed temperature
Filament not extruding Clogged nozzle, extruder gear slipping Clean nozzle, check extruder tension, perform cold pull
Layer shifting Belt tension, mechanical obstruction Check and adjust belt tension, ensure smooth movement on all axes
Stringing/oozing Temperature too high, retraction settings Lower nozzle temperature, adjust retraction distance and speed
Warping corners Bed temperature, cooling, adhesion Increase bed temperature, use brim/raft, ensure clean bed surface

Common Error Messages

  • Thermal Runaway: Heater malfunction - Check thermistor and heater cartridge connections
  • Heating Failed: Heater not reaching temperature - Check heater cartridge and wiring
  • Max Temp Error: Temperature reading too high - Check thermistor connection
  • Min Temp Error: Temperature reading too low - Check thermistor connection
  • Homing Failed: Endstop not triggered - Check endstop switches and wiring
  • Filament Runout: Filament sensor triggered - Load new filament or bypass sensor
