Installation Guide

Tools Needed:

  • Hex wrenches (included)
  • Spanner (included)
  • Screwdriver (Phillips)
  • Leveling card or paper
  • Pliers (optional)

Step-by-Step Installation

  1. Unbox and Inspect: Carefully remove all components from packaging and verify all parts are included and undamaged.
  2. Assemble Frame: Connect the vertical aluminum extrusions to the base frame using provided screws and tools.
  3. Install Gantry: Mount the X-axis gantry onto the vertical extrusions, ensuring smooth movement.
  4. Attach Print Bed: Install the heated magnetic build plate onto the Y-axis carriage.
  5. Install Extruder: Mount the Sprite Direct Drive extruder assembly onto the X-axis gantry.
  6. Connect Electronics: Route and connect all cables to the mainboard following the wiring diagram.
  7. Level Bed: Perform manual bed leveling using the included leveling card and adjust all four corners.
  8. Test Run: Power on the printer, run auto-leveling, and perform a test print to verify proper operation.
Warning: Ensure proper electrical grounding and keep printer away from flammable materials. First-time setup should be supervised.

Key Features

Sprite Direct Drive Extruder

All-metal direct drive extruder with dual-gear feeding system provides precise filament control, reduced retraction distance, and excellent flexible filament printing capability.

CR Touch Auto-Leveling

Automatic bed leveling sensor with 25-point mesh measurement ensures perfect first layer adhesion across the entire build plate, eliminating manual leveling hassles.

All-Metal Hotend

High-temperature all-metal hotend capable of reaching 300°C, enabling printing with engineering materials like ABS, PETG, and carbon fiber composites.

Dual Z-Axis Lead Screws

Twin Z-axis lead screws with synchronized stepper motors provide exceptional stability and precision, preventing gantry sag and ensuring consistent layer quality.

PEI Spring Steel Build Plate

Magnetic removable PEI-coated spring steel build plate offers excellent adhesion when hot and easy print removal when cool, with a smooth textured finish.

Silent Motherboard

32-bit silent motherboard with TMC2225 stepper drivers reduces operational noise to below 50dB while providing smoother motion and higher precision.

Printing Technology Explained

Direct Drive

Extruder mounted directly on print head for precise filament control and flexible material printing

Auto-Leveling

Automatic bed level compensation for perfect first layers every time

High-Temp Printing

Capable of printing engineering-grade materials up to 300°C hotend temperature

Dual Z-Axis

Enhanced stability and precision with synchronized dual Z-axis motors

Filament Runout Sensor

Automatically pauses printing when filament runs out, allowing for spool changes

Power Loss Recovery

Resumes printing from last position after unexpected power interruption

Troubleshooting

Problem Possible Cause Solution
Printer won't power on Power switch off, loose cable, faulty power supply Check power switch, ensure all cables are secure, test outlet
Poor first layer adhesion Bed not level, incorrect nozzle height, dirty build plate Re-level bed, adjust Z-offset, clean build plate with isopropyl alcohol
Filament not extruding Nozzle clogged, extruder gear slipping, incorrect temperature Clean nozzle, check extruder tension, verify temperature settings
Layer shifting Belt tension too loose, mechanical obstruction, overheating drivers Tighten belts, check for obstructions, ensure proper cooling
Stringing/oozing Retraction settings incorrect, temperature too high, travel speed too slow Adjust retraction distance/speed, lower temperature, increase travel speed
Warped prints Bed temperature too low, cooling too fast, draft in room Increase bed temperature, reduce part cooling, use enclosure

Error Codes

  • E1: Hotend temperature error - Check thermistor and heating cartridge
  • E2: Bed temperature error - Check bed thermistor and heater
  • E3: Thermal runaway protection - Check cooling and temperature sensors
  • E4: Power supply error - Check input voltage and connections
  • E5: Filament runout - Replace or insert filament
  • E6: Motor stall - Check for mechanical obstructions
