Installation Guide

Tools Needed:

  • Hex wrenches (included)
  • Phillips screwdriver
  • Spanner
  • Pliers
  • Leveling card or paper

Step-by-Step Assembly

  1. Unpack and Check Components: Unbox all parts and verify all components are present using the parts checklist.
  2. Assemble Frame: Connect the vertical aluminum extrusions to the base frame using the provided screws and brackets.
  3. Install Z-axis: Mount the Z-axis lead screw and motor to the vertical frame.
  4. Install X-axis Gantry: Attach the X-axis gantry with the extruder assembly to the vertical frame.
  5. Install Print Bed: Mount the heated bed to the Y-axis carriage and secure with clips.
  6. Connect Electronics: Route and connect all cables to the mainboard following the wiring diagram.
  7. Level the Bed: Use the manual leveling knobs to adjust the bed height at all four corners.
  8. Test Run: Power on the printer and run the auto-leveling sequence (if equipped) or perform a test print.
Warning: Ensure all electrical connections are secure before powering on. Keep hands clear of moving parts during operation.

Key Features

Silent Mainboard

Equipped with TMC2208 stepper drivers for ultra-quiet operation, reducing printing noise to library-level quietness.

Carborundum Glass Bed

Premium textured glass build plate provides excellent adhesion while printing and easy removal once cooled.

MeanWell Power Supply

High-quality UL-certified power supply ensures stable voltage output and enhanced safety during operation.

Color LCD Touchscreen

4.3-inch full-color touchscreen with rotary encoder for intuitive navigation and real-time printing monitoring.

V-Slot Aluminum Profile

Sturdy 4040 aluminum extrusion frame provides excellent stability and rigidity for precise printing.

Resume Print Function

Automatically saves printing progress and can resume printing after power failure, preventing print failures.

Printing Technology Explained

FDM/FFF Technology

Fused Deposition Modeling melts thermoplastic filament and deposits it layer by layer to create 3D objects.

Bowden Extruder

Lightweight extruder design reduces moving mass on X-axis for faster and more precise printing.

PID Temperature Control

Precise temperature regulation for both nozzle and heated bed ensures consistent printing quality.

V-Wheel Motion System

Precision POM wheels on V-slot aluminum profiles provide smooth and accurate movement on all axes.

Filament Runout Sensor

Optional sensor detects when filament runs out and pauses printing to allow filament change.

Upgrade Compatibility

Designed with modularity in mind, allowing easy upgrades like BLTouch, dual Z-axis, and direct drive.

Troubleshooting

Problem Possible Cause Solution
Printer won't power on Power switch off, loose cable, faulty power supply Check power switch, ensure all cables are secure, test outlet
Poor bed adhesion Unlevel bed, dirty build surface, incorrect bed temperature Re-level bed, clean with isopropyl alcohol, adjust bed temperature
Extruder not feeding Clogged nozzle, extruder gear worn, filament tangled Clean nozzle, check extruder gear tension, ensure free filament movement
Layer shifting Loose belts, over-tightened wheels, printing too fast Tighten belts, adjust eccentric nuts, reduce print speed
Under-extrusion Clogged nozzle, low extruder temperature, incorrect flow rate Clean nozzle, increase temperature, calibrate E-steps
Stringing/oozing Temperature too high, retraction settings incorrect Lower temperature, adjust retraction distance and speed

Common Error Messages

  • Err: MAXTEMP: Thermal runaway detected - Check thermistor and heater connections
  • Err: MINTEMP: Temperature too low - Check thermistor connection
  • Err: Heating Failed: Heater not reaching temperature - Check heater cartridge
  • Err: Kill: Printer halted - Restart printer and check for obstructions
  • Err: STOPPED: Print stopped by user - Resume or restart print
  • Err: THERMAL RUNAWAY: Temperature unstable - Check cooling and thermal paste
