Installation Guide

Tools Needed:

  • Hex wrenches (included)
  • Allen keys (included)
  • Screwdrivers (Phillips and flathead)
  • Spanner
  • Leveling card (included)

Step-by-Step Installation

  1. Unbox and Inspect: Carefully remove all components from packaging and verify all parts are included according to the parts list.
  2. Assemble Frame: Connect the vertical aluminum extrusions to the base frame using the provided screws and brackets.
  3. Install Gantry: Mount the X-axis gantry to the vertical frames, ensuring it moves smoothly without binding.
  4. Install Print Bed: Attach the heated bed to the Y-axis carriage, ensuring it is securely fastened.
  5. Install Extruder: Mount the direct drive extruder assembly to the X-axis gantry.
  6. Connect Electronics: Route and connect all cables to the main control board following the color-coded connections.
  7. Level the Bed: Use the auto-leveling feature followed by manual fine-tuning to ensure proper first layer adhesion.
  8. Test Run: Perform a test print to verify all components are functioning correctly.
Warning: Ensure the printer is placed on a stable, level surface away from flammable materials. Keep children and pets away during operation.

Key Features

Direct Drive Extruder

The integrated direct drive extruder provides precise filament control, enabling better printing of flexible materials and reducing stringing.

Auto Bed Leveling

CR-Touch sensor automatically measures bed flatness and compensates for uneven surfaces, ensuring perfect first layers every time.

Dual Z-axis Screws

Dual lead screws with independent motors ensure stable and synchronized Z-axis movement, preventing gantry sag and improving print quality.

PEI Magnetic Build Plate

Spring steel PEI-coated build surface provides excellent adhesion when hot and easy print removal when cool.

Silent Motherboard

TMC2209 stepper drivers provide near-silent operation while maintaining precise motor control and reducing vibration artifacts.

High-Speed Printing

Optimized kinematics and powerful heating system allow printing speeds up to 300mm/s while maintaining excellent print quality.

Printing Technologies Explained

Linear Advance

Precise pressure control for sharp corners and consistent extrusion throughout prints

Power Loss Recovery

Automatically resumes printing from the last layer after power interruption

Filament Runout Sensor

Pauses printing when filament runs out and resumes after reloading

Resume Printing

Allows pausing and resuming prints at any point for filament changes or inspection

Auto PID Tuning

Automatically calibrates temperature control for optimal thermal stability

Mesh Bed Leveling

Creates a detailed mesh of the print surface for automatic compensation

Troubleshooting

Problem Possible Cause Solution
Printer won't start Power issue, mainboard fault Check power supply, ensure all cables are properly connected
Poor first layer adhesion Bed not level, incorrect nozzle height Re-level bed, adjust Z-offset, clean build surface
Extruder clicking Nozzle clog, extruder tension too high Clean nozzle, adjust extruder tension, check filament path
Layer shifting Belt tension, mechanical obstruction Check belt tension, ensure smooth movement on all axes
Stringing/oozing Temperature too high, retraction settings Lower temperature, increase retraction distance/speed
Under-extrusion Clogged nozzle, extruder slipping Clean nozzle, check extruder gear, increase temperature

Error Codes

  • E1: Heating failed - Check thermistor and heater cartridge
  • E2: Bed heating failed - Check bed thermistor and heater
  • E3: Thermal runaway - Check cooling and temperature sensors
  • E4: Filament runout - Reload filament or bypass sensor
  • E5: Probe error - Check CR-Touch connection and function
  • E6: Homing error - Check endstops and mechanical movement
