Installation Guide

Tools Needed:

  • Hex wrenches (included)
  • Spanner (included)
  • Screwdrivers (flat and Phillips)
  • Pliers
  • Leveling card (included)

Step-by-Step Installation

  1. Unbox and Check Components: Carefully remove all components from packaging and verify all parts are present using the parts checklist.
  2. Assemble Frame: Connect the vertical aluminum extrusions to the base frame using the provided screws and hex wrenches.
  3. Install X-Axis Gantry: Mount the X-axis gantry onto the vertical extrusions, ensuring smooth movement without binding.
  4. Install Print Bed: Secure the heated print bed to the Y-axis carriage, ensuring it's properly aligned and level.
  5. Connect Electronics: Route and connect all cables to the main control board following the color-coded diagram.
  6. Install Filament Holder: Mount the filament holder to the top of the frame and route the filament tube to the extruder.
  7. Initial Calibration: Power on the printer and perform initial bed leveling and Z-offset calibration.
  8. Test Print: Load filament and run the included test print to verify proper operation.
Warning: Ensure the printer is placed on a stable, level surface away from flammable materials. Keep children and pets away during operation.

Key Features

CR Touch Auto Leveling

Automatic bed leveling system with 16-point mesh calibration ensures perfect first layer adhesion and consistent print quality across the entire build plate.

Sprite Direct Extruder

All-metal direct drive extruder provides precise filament control, reduced stringing, and excellent performance with flexible filaments.

Dual Z-Axis Lead Screws

Dual Z-axis synchronization ensures stable and accurate vertical movement, eliminating gantry sag and improving print consistency.

PEI Magnetic Build Plate

Spring steel PEI-coated magnetic build surface provides excellent adhesion when hot and easy print removal when cool.

Silent Motherboard

32-bit silent mainboard with TMC2225 stepper drivers reduces operational noise to below 50dB for quiet printing.

Quick Release Nozzle

Tool-free quick release nozzle system allows for easy maintenance and nozzle changes without disassembling the hotend.

Printing Technology Explained

FDM Technology

Fused Deposition Modeling melts thermoplastic filament and deposits it layer by layer to create 3D objects

Heated Bed

Temperature-controlled build surface prevents warping and improves adhesion for various materials

Direct Drive

Extruder mounted directly on the print head provides precise filament control and better retraction

Auto Leveling

Automatically compensates for bed unevenness ensuring perfect first layer across entire build surface

Filament Runout Sensor

Detects when filament runs out and pauses print, allowing for filament change without losing progress

Resume Print Function

Automatically saves print progress and can resume printing after power interruption

Troubleshooting

Problem Possible Cause Solution
Printer won't power on Power switch off, loose cable, power supply issue Check power switch, ensure all cables are secure, verify power outlet
Poor bed adhesion Unlevel bed, dirty build surface, incorrect bed temperature Re-level bed, clean with isopropyl alcohol, adjust bed temperature
Filament not extruding Clogged nozzle, extruder gear slipping, filament tangled Clean nozzle, check extruder tension, ensure filament spool rotates freely
Layer shifting Loose belts, mechanical obstruction, overheating drivers Tighten belts, check for obstructions, ensure proper cooling
Stringing/oozing High temperature, insufficient retraction, moist filament Lower temperature, increase retraction, dry filament
Warped prints Insufficient bed adhesion, cooling too fast, draft Use adhesion aids, adjust cooling settings, eliminate drafts

Error Codes

  • E1: Hotend temperature error - Check thermistor and heating cartridge
  • E2: Bed temperature error - Check bed thermistor and heater
  • E3: Thermal runaway - Check cooling and temperature sensors
  • E4: Filament runout - Load new filament and resume
  • E5: CR Touch error - Check probe connection and function
  • E6: Motor stall - Check for mechanical obstructions
