Installation Guide

Tools Needed:

  • Hex wrenches (included)
  • Spanner wrench
  • Screwdrivers (flat and Phillips)
  • Pliers
  • Leveling card or paper

Step-by-Step Installation

  1. Unbox and Check Components: Carefully unbox all components and verify all parts are present according to the parts list.
  2. Assemble Frame: Connect the vertical aluminum extrusions to the base frame using the provided screws and brackets.
  3. Install X-Axis: Mount the X-axis gantry to the vertical extrusions, ensuring smooth movement without binding.
  4. Install Print Bed: Attach the heated bed to the Y-axis carriage, ensuring it is securely fastened.
  5. Install Extruder Assembly: Mount the extruder and hotend assembly to the X-axis gantry.
  6. Connect Electronics: Route and connect all cables to the main control board following the wiring diagram.
  7. Level the Bed: Perform manual bed leveling using the included leveling card or paper to ensure proper first layer adhesion.
  8. Test Run: Power on the printer and run initial calibration tests to verify proper operation.
Warning: Ensure proper electrical connections and grounding. Keep printer away from flammable materials during operation.

Key Features

CR Touch Auto Leveling

Automatic bed leveling sensor that measures 16 points on the print bed to ensure perfect first layer adhesion and consistent print quality.

Sprite Direct Extruder

All-metal direct drive extruder provides precise filament control, reduced stringing, and improved printing of flexible materials.

Dual Z-Axis Screws

Dual Z-axis lead screws with synchronous belt drive ensure stable and precise Z-axis movement, reducing layer shifting and improving print quality.

PEI Magnetic Build Plate

Spring steel PEI-coated magnetic build surface provides excellent adhesion when hot and easy print removal when cool.

Silent Motherboard

32-bit silent mainboard with TMC2208 stepper drivers reduces operational noise to below 50dB for quiet printing.

Filament Runout Sensor

Automatically pauses printing when filament runs out, allowing for filament change without losing the print.

Printing Technology Explained

FDM Technology

Fused Deposition Modeling melts and extrudes thermoplastic filament layer by layer to create 3D objects

Heated Bed

Maintains optimal temperature to prevent warping and ensure proper adhesion for various materials

Direct Drive

Extruder mounted directly on the print head reduces retraction distance and improves flexible filament printing

Auto Leveling

Automatically compensates for bed unevenness ensuring consistent first layer across entire build surface

Resume Printing

Automatically saves print progress and can resume printing after power loss or pause

Filament Detection

Monitors filament presence and pauses print when filament runs out or breaks

Troubleshooting

Problem Possible Cause Solution
Printer won't start Power issue, main switch off Check power supply, ensure main switch is on
Poor first layer adhesion Bed not level, incorrect nozzle height Re-level bed, adjust Z-offset, clean build surface
Filament not extruding Nozzle clogged, extruder gear slipping Clean nozzle, check extruder tension, increase temperature
Layer shifting Belt tension, mechanical obstruction Check and adjust belt tension, ensure smooth movement
Stringing/oozing Retraction settings, temperature too high Adjust retraction settings, lower printing temperature
Warped prints Bed temperature, cooling too fast Increase bed temperature, use enclosure, adjust cooling

Error Codes

  • E1: Hotend temperature error - Check thermistor and heating cartridge
  • E2: Bed temperature error - Check bed thermistor and heater
  • E3: Thermal runaway - Check cooling and temperature sensors
  • E4: Filament runout - Replace or insert filament
  • E5: CR Touch error - Check auto leveling sensor connection
  • E6: Motor stall - Check mechanical obstruction or motor connection
