Troubleshooting

Problem Possible Cause Solution
Printer won't start Power issue, loose connections Check power supply, ensure all cables are securely connected
Poor first layer adhesion Bed not level, incorrect Z-offset, dirty bed Re-level bed, adjust Z-offset, clean bed with isopropyl alcohol
Filament not extruding Clogged nozzle, extruder gear slipping Perform cold pull, clean nozzle, check extruder tension
Layer shifting Belt tension, loose pulleys, overheating drivers Tighten belts and pulleys, check motor currents, ensure cooling
Stringing/oozing Temperature too high, retraction settings Lower temperature, increase retraction distance and speed
Warping/corner lift Bed temperature, cooling, ambient temperature Increase bed temperature, reduce part cooling, use enclosure

Error Codes

  • E1: Hotend temperature error - Check thermistor and heating cartridge
  • E2: Bed temperature error - Check bed thermistor and heater
  • E3: Thermal runaway - Check cooling and temperature sensors
  • E4: Power loss - Check power supply and connections
  • E5: Filament runout - Replace or reload filament
  • E6: Homing error - Check endstops and mechanical obstructions
