Installation Guide

Tools Needed:

  • Phillips screwdriver
  • Leveling card (included)
  • Hex wrench set (included)
  • Pliers
  • Cleaning cloth

Step-by-Step Installation

  1. Unbox and Inspect: Carefully remove all components from packaging and verify all parts are included and undamaged.
  2. Assemble Frame: Attach the side panels to the main frame using provided screws and hex wrenches.
  3. Install Print Bed: Place the heated print bed onto the platform and secure it properly.
  4. Connect Electronics: Connect all cables to the main control board following the color-coded guides.
  5. Install Filament System: Mount the filament holder and feed the filament through the guide tube to the extruder.
  6. Level the Print Bed: Use the leveling card to calibrate the distance between the nozzle and print bed at all four corners.
  7. Initial Test Print: Run the built-in test print to verify proper installation and calibration.
Warning: Ensure the printer is placed on a stable, level surface away from flammable materials and in a well-ventilated area.

Key Features

Removable Print Bed

The flexible, removable build plate allows for easy print removal and minimizes damage to printed objects during removal.

Built-in Camera

Integrated camera enables remote monitoring of print progress via the Flashforge mobile app or web interface.

Wi-Fi Connectivity

Wireless printing capability allows for convenient file transfer and printer control from your computer or mobile device.

Automatic Bed Leveling

9-point automatic bed leveling ensures consistent first layer adhesion across the entire print surface.

Enclosed Chamber

Fully enclosed printing chamber maintains consistent temperature and reduces noise while improving print quality with certain materials.

Filament Detection

Built-in filament runout sensor pauses printing when filament is depleted, allowing for filament change without losing the print.

Supported Materials

PLA

Easy to print, biodegradable material ideal for prototypes and general use

ABS

Durable, heat-resistant material suitable for functional parts

PETG

Strong, flexible material with good layer adhesion and chemical resistance

TPU

Flexible filament for creating rubber-like parts and prototypes

Wood-filled PLA

Composite material that produces wood-like finish on printed objects

Carbon Fiber

Reinforced filament for extra strength and stiffness in printed parts

Troubleshooting

Problem Possible Cause Solution
Printer won't start Power issue, main switch off Check power supply, ensure main switch is on
Poor first layer adhesion Bed not level, wrong bed temperature Re-level bed, increase bed temperature, clean bed surface
Filament not extruding Nozzle clogged, extruder gear slipping Clean nozzle, check extruder tension, increase temperature
Stringing between prints Retraction settings incorrect, temperature too high Adjust retraction settings, lower printing temperature
Layer shifting Belt tension loose, mechanical obstruction Tighten belts, check for obstructions in movement
Overheating issues Poor ventilation, ambient temperature too high Improve ventilation, lower ambient temperature

Error Codes

  • E01: Heating failed - Check thermistor and heating cartridge
  • E02: Temperature too high - Check cooling system
  • E03: Temperature too low - Check heating system
  • E04: Filament runout - Replace or reload filament
  • E05: Motor stall - Check for mechanical obstruction
  • E06: Communication error - Restart printer and software
