Key Features

Direct Drive Extruder

The direct drive extruder provides precise filament control, allowing for flexible filaments and reducing stringing for cleaner prints.

Auto Leveling System

16-point auto bed leveling ensures perfect first layers every time, with manual fine-tuning capability for optimal results.

All-Metal Hotend

High-temperature all-metal hotend enables printing with a wide range of materials including PLA, ABS, PETG, TPU, and more.

Wi-Fi Connectivity

Built-in Wi-Fi allows for wireless printing and remote monitoring via Flashforge Cloud or mobile app.

Resume Print Function

Power failure recovery feature automatically resumes printing from the last layer after unexpected power interruptions.

Filament Runout Sensor

Detects when filament runs out and pauses printing, allowing for filament changes without losing progress.

Printing Technology Explained

FDM Technology

Fused Deposition Modeling melts and extrudes thermoplastic filament layer by layer to create 3D objects.

Heated Build Plate

Maintains optimal temperature for different materials to prevent warping and improve adhesion.

Dual Gear Extruder

Provides consistent filament feeding with minimal slippage for reliable printing performance.

Quiet Operation

Silent stepper drivers and optimized mechanical design reduce operational noise significantly.

Touch Screen Interface

4.3-inch color touch screen with intuitive controls for easy operation and monitoring.

Cloud Printing

Send print jobs remotely via Flashforge Cloud service for convenient workflow management.

Troubleshooting

Problem Possible Cause Solution
Printer won't start Power issue, main switch off Check power supply, ensure main switch is on
Poor first layer adhesion Bed not level, wrong bed temperature Re-level bed, adjust bed temperature for material
Filament not extruding Nozzle clogged, extruder gear slipping Clean nozzle, check extruder tension, clear jam
Print warping Bed temperature too low, draft in room Increase bed temperature, use enclosure or draft shield
Layer shifting Belt tension, mechanical obstruction Check belt tension, ensure smooth movement of all axes
Stringing/oozing Retraction settings, temperature too high Adjust retraction settings, lower nozzle temperature

Error Codes

  • E01: Heating failed - Check thermistor and heater cartridge
  • E02: Temperature runaway - Verify temperature sensors
  • E03: Bed heating failed - Check bed thermistor and heater
  • E04: Filament runout - Load new filament
  • E05: SD card error - Reformat or replace SD card
  • E06: Motor stall - Check for mechanical obstructions
