Key Features
Direct Drive Extruder
The integrated direct drive extruder provides precise filament control, enabling reliable printing with flexible materials and reducing stringing.
Auto Bed Leveling
16-point automatic bed leveling ensures perfect first layers every time, compensating for any minor bed irregularities.
All-Metal Hotend
Capable of reaching 300°C, allowing printing with engineering materials like PETG, ABS, and specialty filaments.
Filament Runout Sensor
Automatically pauses printing when filament runs out, allowing you to resume exactly where it stopped.
Wi-Fi Connectivity
Wireless printing capability allows remote monitoring and control via Flashforge Cloud or mobile app.
Resume Print Function
Automatically saves print progress in case of power failure, allowing you to resume printing once power is restored.
Printing Technologies Explained
FDM Printing
Fused Deposition Modeling builds objects layer by layer using melted thermoplastic filament
Heated Bed
Maintains optimal temperature to prevent warping and improve adhesion for various materials
Dual Gear Extrusion
Provides consistent filament feeding with reduced risk of slipping or grinding
Linear Rails
Precision linear motion system ensures smooth movement and accurate positioning
Silent Drivers
TMC2209 stepper drivers reduce operational noise while maintaining precision
Cloud Slicing
Online slicing service with pre-configured profiles for optimal print settings
Troubleshooting
| Problem | Possible Cause | Solution |
|---|---|---|
| Printer won't start | Power issue, mainboard fault | Check power supply, ensure proper voltage, check fuse |
| Poor first layer adhesion | Bed not level, incorrect nozzle height, dirty bed | Re-level bed, adjust Z-offset, clean with isopropyl alcohol |
| Filament not extruding | Nozzle clog, extruder gear slipping, low temperature | Clean nozzle, check extruder tension, increase temperature |
| Layer shifting | Belt tension, mechanical obstruction, overheating drivers | Adjust belt tension, check for obstructions, ensure cooling |
| Stringing/oozing | Retraction settings, temperature too high | Adjust retraction distance/speed, lower temperature |
| Warping | Bed temperature, cooling too fast, draft | Increase bed temp, reduce cooling fan, use enclosure |
Error Codes
- E01: Heating failed - Check thermistor and heater cartridge
- E02: Thermal runaway - Check cooling and temperature sensors
- E03: Bed heating failed - Verify bed thermistor connection
- E04: Filament runout - Load new filament and resume
- E05: XYZ homing error - Check endstops and mechanical movement
- E06: SD card error - Format SD card or use different one
