Installation Guide

Tools Needed:

  • Hex wrenches (included)
  • Phillips screwdriver
  • Spanner
  • Leveling card (included)
  • Pliers

Step-by-Step Installation

  1. Unbox and Inspect: Carefully remove all components from packaging and verify all parts are included according to the parts list.
  2. Assemble Frame: Connect the aluminum extrusion frame using the provided screws and brackets, ensuring all connections are tight.
  3. Install Gantry: Mount the X-axis gantry to the vertical supports, ensuring smooth movement without binding.
  4. Mount Print Bed: Install the heated print bed onto the Y-axis carriage, securing with the provided clips or screws.
  5. Install Extruder: Mount the direct drive extruder assembly to the X-axis gantry and connect the Bowden tube if applicable.
  6. Connect Electronics: Route and connect all cables to the main control board, ensuring proper connections for motors, heaters, and sensors.
  7. Level the Bed: Perform manual or automatic bed leveling using the included leveling card to ensure proper first layer adhesion.
  8. Test Run: Power on the printer, run initialization sequence, and perform a test print to verify proper operation.
Warning: Ensure the printer is placed on a stable, level surface away from flammable materials. First-time setup should be performed carefully following all safety instructions.

Key Features

CR Touch Auto Leveling

Automatic bed leveling sensor that probes multiple points on the print surface to create a mesh map, ensuring perfect first layer adhesion across the entire build plate.

Sprite Direct Extruder

All-metal direct drive extruder with dual-gear feeding provides precise filament control, reduced retraction distance, and excellent performance with flexible filaments.

Dual Z-axis Lead Screws

Synchronized dual Z-axis motors with lead screws ensure stable and precise vertical movement, eliminating gantry sag and improving print quality consistency.

PEI Magnetic Build Plate

Spring steel build surface with PEI coating provides excellent adhesion when hot and easy print removal when cool, featuring a magnetic base for quick plate changes.

High-Speed Printing

Optimized motion system and firmware allow for printing speeds up to 250mm/s while maintaining excellent print quality and dimensional accuracy.

Resume Print Function

Power failure recovery feature automatically saves print progress, allowing the printer to resume printing from the last recorded position after power is restored.

Print Technology Explained

FDM Technology

Fused Deposition Modeling melts thermoplastic filament and deposits it layer by layer to create three-dimensional objects.

Direct Drive

Extruder motor mounted directly above the hotend reduces retraction distance and improves control of flexible filaments.

Heated Bed

Temperature-controlled build surface improves adhesion for various materials and prevents warping during printing.

Auto Leveling

Automatic bed leveling compensates for minor surface irregularities, ensuring consistent first layer across entire build area.

Filament Runout Sensor

Detects when filament has run out and pauses the print, allowing for filament change without losing print progress.

Silent Motherboard

32-bit silent mainboard with TMC2209 drivers reduces motor noise during operation for quieter printing.

Troubleshooting

Problem Possible Cause Solution
Printer won't power on Power supply issue, loose connections Check power cable, ensure power switch is on, verify voltage setting
Poor first layer adhesion Bed not level, incorrect nozzle height, dirty build surface Re-level bed, adjust Z-offset, clean build surface with isopropyl alcohol
Filament not extruding Nozzle clogged, extruder gear slipping, filament tangled Clean or replace nozzle, check extruder tension, ensure filament spool rotates freely
Layer shifting Belt tension, mechanical obstruction, overheating drivers Check and adjust belt tension, ensure smooth movement on all axes, improve ventilation
Stringing/oozing Retraction settings, printing temperature too high Adjust retraction distance and speed, lower printing temperature
Warped prints Bed temperature too low, cooling too fast, draft in room Increase bed temperature, use enclosure or draft shield, ensure consistent ambient temperature

Error Codes

  • E1: Hotend temperature error - Check thermistor connection
  • E2: Bed temperature error - Check bed thermistor
  • E3: Thermal runaway - Check heating elements and cooling
  • E4: Filament runout - Replace or insert filament
  • E5: Leveling sensor error - Check CR Touch connection
  • E6: Motor stall - Check for mechanical obstruction
