Installation Guide
Tools Needed:
- Hex wrenches (included)
- Spanner wrench
- Screwdrivers (flat and Phillips)
- Pliers
- Leveling gauge
Step-by-Step Installation
- Unpack and Inventory: Carefully unpack all components and verify all parts are present using the included checklist.
- Assemble Frame: Connect the vertical aluminum extrusions to the base frame using the provided screws and brackets.
- Install Z-axis: Mount the Z-axis lead screw and stepper motor to the vertical frame.
- Install X-axis: Attach the X-axis gantry to the Z-axis assembly, ensuring smooth movement.
- Install Hotend and Extruder: Mount the hotend assembly to the X-axis carriage and install the extruder mechanism.
- Connect Electronics: Route and connect all wiring to the main control board following the color-coded connections.
- Level the Bed: Use the manual leveling knobs to level the print bed at all four corners.
- Test Run: Perform initial calibration and test print to verify proper assembly.

Printing Technology Explained
FDM Printing
Fused Deposition Modeling technology melts and extrudes thermoplastic filament layer by layer
Precision Steppers
High-precision stepper motors with silent drivers for accurate movement control
Bowden Extrusion
Lightweight print head design reduces moving mass for faster printing speeds
Manual Leveling
Four-point manual bed leveling system with durable springs for consistent first layers
Filament Detection
Optional filament runout sensor support to pause prints when filament runs out
Firmware Customization
Open-source Marlin firmware allows for extensive customization and upgrades
Troubleshooting
| Problem | Possible Cause | Solution |
|---|---|---|
| Printer won't start | Power issue, loose connections | Check power supply, ensure all connectors are secure |
| Poor bed adhesion | Unlevel bed, dirty surface, wrong temperature | Re-level bed, clean with alcohol, adjust bed temperature |
| Filament not extruding | Clogged nozzle, extruder gear slipping | Clean nozzle, check extruder tension, clear filament path |
| Layer shifting | Loose belts, mechanical obstruction | Tighten belts, check for binding, reduce print speed |
| Stringing/oozing | Temperature too high, retraction settings | Lower temperature, increase retraction distance/speed |
| Warped prints | Uneven cooling, bed temperature too low | Use enclosure, increase bed temperature, use brim/raft |
Common Issues and Solutions
- Under-extrusion: Check filament diameter settings, extruder calibration, and nozzle for clogs
- Over-extrusion: Calibrate E-steps, reduce flow rate in slicer settings
- Z-axis binding: Ensure lead screw is straight and properly lubricated
- Thermal runaway error: Check thermistor connections and replace if damaged
- SD card issues: Format card to FAT32, use quality SD cards under 32GB
- Inconsistent layers: Tighten eccentric nuts on all axes, check for loose components
